Korg Special Presentation Evening
Performers : Brett Wales, John Pacey

The long awaited Korg Promotion evening was presented on Thursday evening the 9th August and Introduced by John Pacey one of Korg ’ s top Demonstrators , and in the second half Top Organist Brett Wales performed for us a varied concert on the same instrument.

This evening was originally booked earlier this year and was postponed due to adverse weather conditions and there were about fifty or so people there, to experience a rather different evening.

The first half was taken up completely with John Pacey demonstrating the

KORG PA 800 with many of the various Rhythms and the different sounds available on the instrument and some of the sounds were especially outstanding, such as the Steinway Piano, Cornet and Harmonica..

John said that there are over a thousand voices and 400 styles on the Pa 800, it came across well with good depth of sound!, also he demonstrated various intros and endings and other features.

Brett played a concert for us which took up the second half with a brilliant selection of music including the Diana Ross hit ‘ When you tell me that you loved me ’ String of Pearls and finishing with The Sabre Dance. which suited everyone.

It was good to see Simon Nesbitt from the Peterborough Organ centre in attendance ,and anyone who maybe interested in purchasing the Korg PA 800 or any Korg instrument should contact him.

An interesting evening and I think everyone enjoyed the evening.
